How to send Krishna conscious files?

In this section, we provide facility to devotees for sharing their Krishna conscious files with others. By doing so, you can help spread the transcendental bliss of Krishna consciousness. Please read the instructions given below on sending files to us.

Send small files - by email (eg. powerpoint, images, screensavers, recipes, games, etc.)
Step A: Create a Zip File
Here's the procedure to create a ZIP file using the WinRAR program:
Make sure that all files to be zipped are in a single folder.
Select all files to be zipped using the following procedure:
- Hold down the Ctrl key.
- Click on each file until all files are selected.
- Release the Ctrl key.
- All of the files in question should still be selected (highlighted).
- Right-click on one of the selected files and select the following menu option:
a. WinRAR -> Add to Archive…
b. The “Archive name and parameters” window will open.
c. On the “General” Tab…
d. Change “Archive Format” from “RAR” to “ZIP”.
e. Specify a file name in the “Archive Name” field.
f. Click “OK”
g. The ZIP process may take several seconds.
h. When the process completes, the file name that you specified should exist in the current folder.
In case you are unable to follow the process of zipping than write to us. We will help you.
Step B: Attach to Email
Send us the Zip file by email. Most of the email service providers limit the size of the email to 5 to 20 MB. When you attach a file by email, the attached size is actually larger due to the way it is encoded. Also the header, subject, message, etc. add to the size of the email. Hence, in practice if the total limit of email allowed by your provider is say 10 MB, the files you are attaching should not be more than 7M total.
Step C: Send email to us
Please send us following details about the file:
1. Name of the file
2. Description of the file
3. Your full name
Send your email to vaishnavasevadasa@gmail.com
Step D: Listing of your file
Once we get the file, we virus scan them, check the contents and upload them on the website.

Send large files - by FTP (audio or any other large files)
If you have files bigger than 7- 10 MB or you have large number of files than you can upload them by FTP. Write to us and we will create a FTP account for you and send you the user name and password.
Alternatively, you can send huge files by many online services like - www.yousendit.com, www.transferbigfiles.com, www.sendthisfile.com

File types for upload
You can send us following file types for the pleasure of devotees:
Media files: Compress media files. It will make your upload easy and also devotees will be able to download files easily. The compression file formats recommended are
Audio: mp3 is the universal format.
Video: flv & mpeg are common web formats. Alternatively, you can upload directly to our special video section
Documemts: .doc and PDF are common formats.
Games, Screensavers, etc: .swf and .exe files
Exe files: As a security measure, email service providers do not allow exe files to be send as attachments as often exe files are viruses. Hence, sending them requires a renaming of these files. You will have to rename the files to .doc or .exe, etc. Please mention this when you send us the email so that we can rename it back to .exe

Its a vaishnava aparadha and bad karma to distribute files without devotee blessings & permission. In our enthusiasm of sharing files with other devotees, we should not commit offenses as offenses create a negative impact on our deeper spiritual realizations. Its subtle and hence once should be more careful.
